Wishlist Centre is currently under construction opposite the Sunshine Coast University Hospital and will be Australia’s first facility to offer affordable patient accommodation, primary healthcare and complementary therapies under one roof.

CEO Jerry Kennard said Evoke Projects decided to become charity partners with because appreciate “all that Wishlist stand for and do for the Sunshine community”.

“We felt a true alignment of our values as organisations and felt that we could improve the human experience in the physical environment for Wishlist Centre clients, as is our mission for all our clients.

“Our vision for the interiors of the Wishlist Centre is to provide a home away from home, creating spaces of tranquillity, places to meet with family and provide social support through a community activities hub.”

Mr Kennard said the inspiration behind the rooms on the upper two levels was to provide a timeless coastal palette to reflect the surroundings of the Sunshine Coast.

“It is a place to heal more like a hotel stay, providing services that cater for a circle of care for those experiencing a health crisis, away from a clinical environment”.

Wishlist CEO Lisa Rowe said the partnership was a crucial element in keeping costs to a minimum when it came to the build of the four-level centre.

“We are so grateful to the team at Evoke Projects for becoming part of the Wishlist family and helping our health foundation to make a very real difference in the lives of patients and families who are facing a health crisis,” Ms Rowe said.

“It’s because of businesses like Evoke Projects that we will be able to deliver a truly unique accommodation facility that will be comfortable, inviting and functional for the many people who will call Wishlist Centre their ‘home away from home’.

Evoke comes with more than 35 years of experience and are a valued solution when it comes to refurbishments, interior design and fit-outs, specialising in healthcare, workplace, education and veterinary projects.
