A Sunshine Coast charity is changing the face of fundraising by ‘going digital’ for a cause.

Wishlist – the Sunshine Coast’s health foundation – has launched their digital member benefits platform WishlistConnect this month which will raise funds for medical research, equipment and local support services.

“This is the first platform of its type on the Sunshine Coast,” Wishlist CEO Lisa Rowe said.

“More than 12 months ago, Wishlist teamed up with local bespoke digital company Threadpledge to develop this platform as way of connecting the Coast’s top businesses with our health service staff and Wishlist supporters.”

“We have been in this WishlistConnect bubble for some time now, so it is beyond exciting to finally hit the ‘go live’ button this week.”

WishlistConnect is free for consumers and offers discounts at various Coast restaurants and cafes, gym memberships, retail rewards, coupons for hairdressing and beauty services, lifestyle experiences, plus travel deals and markdowns on home and automotive services.

“We have selected everyday businesses that locals use and trust, so we can offer the best deals to our community while raising funds to continue the work of Wishlist,” Ms Rowe added.

“We currently have about 150 offers spread across nine categories and we hope the Sunshine Coast community will get behind these businesses who are supporting us as a foundation.

“This is an exciting new era for Wishlist, as each person who signs up and makes a purchase through WishlistConnect is essentially helping to enhance our public health service for the benefit of families on the Coast.”

WishlistConnect Business Development Manager Debbie Gorsch said support from the business community had been overwhelming.

“The website is extremely innovative and easy to use, so it appeals to such a large market,” Ms Gorsch said.

“We all know the Sunshine Coast network has some of the best operators in the country and WishlistConnect is the only dedicated tool to connect businesses to the thousands of professionals in the new Sunshine Coast health precinct.”
