Wishlist Coffee House at Gympie Hospital is on the search for volunteers.

The café celebrated its fourth birthday this year and serves up plenty of healthy, tasty food and beverages with profits going back to the needs of the hospital.

Manager Richard Ward is calling on the community to put their hands up to help as the kiosk experiences some of its busiest days.

“Our volunteers find through giving their time here they also have plenty of social opportunities for forming long lasting friendships,” Mr Ward said.

“It’s a great way to meet people, make new friends, gain new skills while using past life experience and feel proud knowing you are giving something back to the community.”

Apart from a manager, the kiosk is being staffed entirely by volunteers, and has directed more than $186,000 back into Gympie Hospital.
