Thanks to the generous donations from the Sunshine Coast community, Wishlist has proudly funded a state-of-the-art catheter training set for the Gynaecology & Urology ward at Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH).
Nurse Unit Manager, Fiona Dunn, trains health staff at SCUH and explains the importance of this brand-new equipment.
“Catheterisation is a fundamental skill for our unit and with the Sunshine Coast community rapidly growing we’re seeing more and more urology patients.
“This new catheter training set allows us to teach and upskill our staff in how to put in catheters, how to troubleshoot with catheterisation and gives staff the opportunity to have hands on and practical experience in a safe environment.” Fiona says.
Wishlist has provided $5,148 to fund both male and female training sets, which offer an incredibly realistic experience, these training tools empower local health staff to refine their skills and enhance patient care right here on the Sunshine Coast.
