Colour and fun have been added to the walls of the Medical Imaging department at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
This project was funded by 92.7 MIX FM's Give Me 5 appeal.
Radiographer Amy applied to Wishlist for calming wall art to distract young patients needing fluoroscopic procedures. These procedures are complex and young patients are often distressed throughout the procedure as a result.
By creating an environment that is calming and entertaining, Amy says paediatric anxiety can be reduced and the team can produce diagnostic images to benefit the patient.
