SET off for a stroll in the “woods” as the Teddy Bears Picnic kicks off on Sunday at Buderim Village Park.
Young and old will gather at the popular park for a morning of entertainment, fun-filled activities, food stalls and so much more.
“And the best thing is, it’s free entry,” Wishlist Event Manager Lisa Wilson said.
Ms Wilson is supporting the organising of the event with the dedicated 92.7 Mix FM team as part of June’s Give Me 5 For Kids appeal and promises the morning will be action-packed.
“From 9am, we have a line-up of local children’s entertainment taking the stage, plus a jumping castle, face painting, roving characters, food stalls and so much more,” she said.
“The event is free to enter and families can then purchase their Fun Passes which will include five passes for food, drinks and unlimited activities.
“We will also have teddy and rug bundles for sale with the proceeds going to Give Me 5 For Kids.
“The Wishlist plush teddies are super cute and of course very popular with the youngsters, and the rugs are lovingly handmade and donated by our generous knitting and quilting groups from across the Coast.
“This event was only made possible by our local sponsors Just Better Care and Kruger Law so we are very grateful for their support.”
This year’s appeal will raise funds for family accommodation near the Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) so families can stay close during treatment.
The closest emergency medical accommodation near SCUH is located at Nambour in the form of Wishlist’s Reed House.
