Tickets to Wishlist’s highly-anticipated Jazz and Wine Festival in Gympie have today been released.

The event, to be held at Gunabul Homestead on Saturday, August 5 is expected to attract hundreds of festival-goers and feature celebrated jazz and blues artists, a range of wine and gourmet food.

Following the success of the inaugural Wishlist Jazz and Wine Festival in August 2016, Wishlist Events Coordinator Lisa Wilson said the 2017 event is poised to be bigger and better.



“Last year’s event was the first time Wishlist had run a large-scale charity event in Gympie, and we had such a strong turnout,” Ms Wilson said.

“For the past several months, people have been asking us about the release date of this year’s tickets. We can now say that tickets are available for $50 for general admission and $120 per person for the VIP area which will include an extensive catering and beverage package.”

The fundraising event - which raised $37,000 last year – will direct all proceeds to the needs of Gympie Hospital.

“The Jazz and Wine Festival has quickly become a key event on the Gympie social calendar and there’s no doubt why – it’s a chance for the community to come together to enjoy great live music, indulge in gourmet food and savour the wine on offer,” Ms Wilson added.

“…And all proceeds stay in Gympie for the benefit of local patients and their families. It is a win on all fronts.”

Last year, funds raised from the Wishlist Jazz and Wine Festival went towards the purchase of a $37,000 BiPAP Non-Invasive Ventilator for Gympie Hospital's Emergency Department.

Local businessman and passionate health advocate Cos Schuh is the major sponsor of the 2017 Wishlist Jazz and Wine Festival.

"The inaugural event exceeded our expectations both as a social event, and as a fundraiser for Wishlist and its endeavours to provide much-needed equipment for the Gympie Hospital,” Mr Schuh said.
