A new set of patient transfer scales have arrived at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

The equipment was funded by Wishlist to the tune of $5,555 and can be used on 20-30 percent of emergency presentations each year.

Registered nurse Jeffry Menkens said: "This great piece of equipment will be of great benefit to staff and patients alike, especially those suffering from an acute stroke and in need of an accurate weight for critical therapy".
