More than 560 members of the Sunshine Coast community will once again come together for the annual Wishlist Spring Carnival on Friday September 19, which will take place in an exciting new location - the Caloundra Events Centre.
As in year's past, this event will give guests the opportunity to take home a wide variety of coveted auction items with more than 100 fantastic items to go under the hammer. This year it's even easier to view and bid on items though GalaBid online. Just click on http://galabid.com/wishlist and follow the prompts.
The 2014 Wishlist Spring Carnival will raise funds to purchase an Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) for the Gastroenterology Service to help fight cancer locally. Having this equipment on the Coast means locals will no longer have to travel to Brisbane for an accurate diagnosis of the ‘staging’ of an illness related to pancreatic, biliary, oesophageal and rectal cancer.
Guests will revel in an afternoon of entertainment and fundraising with popular Channel 7 Sunrise personalities Natalie Barr and Mark Beretta hosting the event for the fourth time and one of Australia’s favourite sons, Rob Mills leading the entertainment line-up.
Wishlist would like to acknowledge the hardworking volunteer event committee led by chairman Travis Schultz. Wishlist is lucky and grateful to have their support.
We also thank all the event sponsors, table ambassadors, auction prize donors, guests attending the event and the volunteers and staff who ensure the day runs smoothly.
