Cardiologist Kim Greaves has a plan to get hearts racing.
If life wasn’t busy enough as one of the Sunshine Coast’s top heart doctors and a dad-of-two, Professor Kim Greaves has assembled a fearless team to scale five Sunshine Coast peaks in aid of hospital foundation, Wishlist.

On October 15, Prof Greaves with fellow Sunshine Coast cardiologist Dr Tony Stanton, Wishlist’s Lisa Rowe and Lisa Wilson, and gutsy challengers Shaun McTaggart, Phil Pilgrim and Angela Richardson will hike Wild Horse Mountain, Mt Ngungun, Mt Coolum, Mt Cooroora and finish at Noosa Lookout.
The squad – known as the Sunshine Coast Shufflers – are planning to tackle their calf-cramping Hi 5 Challenge in just one day to raise money for an innovative health and wellbeing project within the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service.
“I think we live in a great part of the world and I love living here. However, I am worried about the general health and wellbeing of our population,” Prof Greaves said.
“We want to make the Sunshine Coast a healthier happier place to live so we are setting up a workplace wellness program.
“Shuffling up our local mountains seemed like a great idea to promote healthier lifestyles and raise funds to help tackle health workplace issues.”

Recent entrant, Wishlist CEO Lisa Rowe, admitted climbing a collective elevation of almost 1100m in a matter of hours was “slightly intimidating”.
“I’m a lover of Crossfit and outdoor running, but after taking on Mt Cooroora (439m) recently, I’m now embarking on some semi-serious training,” Ms Rowe said.
"A personal challenge is always good for the body and soul and this one, while daunting, is surely something this old body can handle without too much injury.
“At the end of the day, I’d do anything for the Wishlist cause.”
The Sunshine Coast Shufflers are hoping to raise more than $2000 for their efforts.
