This year, Currimundi Special School’s annual Green Day fundraiser raised $254 for Wishlist to assist in funding the Calm Fairies who help anxious children feel safe and calm in hospital.
Currimundi Special School celebrates the standing tradition of Green Day on May 17th, where they wear green and fundraise for Wishlist in honour of past and present students who access the services of Wishlist during difficult times.
Wishlist and the Calm Fairies paid a visit to Currimundi Special School to thank their efforts and support.
The students and teachers felt so relaxed after the Calm Fairies guided them through some 'Calm Fairy tools' – tree pose, butterfly hugs, a squeeze and relax meditation, and some affirmations.
It takes donations like these to help fund support services like the Calm Fairies to support the growing health needs of patients and families on the Sunshine Coast and Gympie.
