Baringa State Secondary College students came together for an inspiring project to brighten the days of young patients.
Participating in the "Write a Book in a Day" competition, students crafted engaging short stories aimed at children aged 10 to 16, and although the books didn’t qualify for the competition’s digital library, the students’ dedication remained unwavering.
The student’s stories were crafted into hard copy anthologies that aim to spread joy and distraction to young patients, and were donated to Wishlist to distribute across the Children’s Ward at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital and Wishlist Centre - one of Wishlist’s hospital accommodation centres.
This initiative highlights the power of storytelling and the generosity of the Sunshine Coast community’s youth, whose hard work will make a meaningful difference.
Wishlist thanks Baringa State Secondary College, the teachers and the students for their kind donation and efforts.
