Aitken Legal has revived its charity golf challenge after eight years to help raise funds for hospital foundation Wishlist.
The firm pulled together $61,064 for 92.7 MIX FM’s Give Me 5 appeal via the 4 Ball Ambrose Legal’s Sunshine Coast Corporate Charity Golf Challenge, where 144 golfers broke out their clubs for 18 holes at the Pelican Waters Golf Club.
“Give Me 5 celebrated 25 years this year, so it was great to bring back Aitken Legal’s golf challenge after an eight-year hiatus to support Wishlist and the incredible work the charity does to improve local health services for our families”, Aitken Legal managing director Lisa Aitken said.
“Feedback from our charity golf day has been fantastic and we are proud to hand over $61,064 to Give Me 5 and Wishlist”.
Todd and Sami from 92.7 Mix FM entertained participants during registration and breakfast, and attendees got to indulge in champagne, Balter Beer, oysters and canapes as they watched activities like the longest drive challenge and The Lucky Golfer competition.
Prizes up for grabs included a 2024 BMW i4 eDrive35 sponsored by Coastline BMW and a Club Car sponsored by Club Car; Aitken Legal also put up $20,000 in cash.
The charity golf day also included a lunch with entertainment by Dean Stewart and a live silent auction.
“The success of this golf day demonstrates the power of community spirit and the difference we can make when we rally together.
